Description

The Unstrung comp bow is an item in Old School RuneScape. It is an unstrung composite ogre bow. Add a Bow string to it and it becomes a Comp ogre bow.

Players make this bow with the Fletching skill. You need level 30 Fletching and partial completion of the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. To make one, use a knife on Achey tree logs while you have wolf bones in your inventory. It takes 3 ticks, which is 1.8 seconds, and gives 45 Fletching experience. You do not need any facilities, so you can make it anywhere.

This bow has a fun bit of trivia. It is the only unstrung bow in the game with the word Unstrung in its name. Every other unstrung bow uses a (u) at the end of its name instead.

The Unstrung comp bow can be traded on the Grand Exchange with a buy limit of 10,000 every 4 hours. This makes it a handy item for players who want quick Fletching experience or who want to string bows for profit or training.
