Description

The Young impling jar is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It holds a young impling, a small creature from the Impetuous Impulses minigame. Players catch these implings in Puro-Puro or around Gielinor. Catching one with a butterfly net needs level 22 Hunter, or level 32 to catch it barehanded.

You can open the jar to loot it. Common drops include steel nails, a lockpick, pure essence, tuna, coal, and bow string. Rarer drops include a mithril bar, a yew longbow, soft clay, and a defence potion. The jar can also give a beginner clue scroll at a 1/25 chance or an easy clue scroll at a 1/50 chance. When you loot it, you get the empty jar back, but there is a 10% chance it breaks.

The jar has another smart use. You can trade one to Elnock Inquisitor for 3 empty impling jars. This lets you catch three more implings with better loot. Two of these jars, plus three baby impling jars and one gourmet impling jar, can also be traded to Elnock for imp repellent. The jar is tradeable and noteable, with item ID 11240.
