The Adamant kiteshield + 1 is a tier 41 melee shield in RuneScape 3. It is an adamant kiteshield that has been upgraded once. You need level 40 Defence to wear it. It goes in the shield slot and gives 129.6 armour, plus a 4.1% PvM damage reduction. It is a free-to-play item, and it is tradeable.
This shield is a solid pick for mid-level melee players who want more protection. It offers a step up from the normal adamant kiteshield, which has 125.6 armour. It is also very light at 0.01 kg, so it will not slow you down.
Players with level 40 Smithing can make this shield at an anvil or forge. It takes 2 adamant bars and an adamant kiteshield, and it gives 340 Smithing experience. You will need a hammer to do the work. If you want even more armour, you can upgrade it again with 4 more adamant bars to make an Adamant kiteshield + 2.
The shield can also be broken down with the Invention skill. It gives 16 materials, mostly cover parts, base parts, and deflecting parts.
