Description

The Archaeology potion (4) is a members-only potion in RuneScape 3 with four doses. Each dose boosts your Archaeology level by 3. The boost drops by 1 level each minute, and it does not stack with other temporary skill boosts.

Players use this potion to reach hotspots or dig sites a few levels above their current Archaeology level. It is a simple way to unlock content early or squeeze more out of a training session.

Making this potion yourself takes work. You need level 78 Herblore and the recipe from the Orthen Dig Site. The recipe fragments come from rare drops at level 90 Archaeology excavation spots. Once learned, the potion is made by mixing an unfinished avantoe potion with one of seven soils, such as Ancient gravel, Volcanic ash, or Mossy peat.

The potion is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to keep in your bank until you need it. It can also be disassembled for materials like Enhancing components and Healthy components. Each potion weighs only 0.02 kg. It was added to the game on 19 October 2020 along with the Archaeology skill update.
