Description
Mossy peat is a members-only soil in RuneScape 3. Players dig it up at the Moonrise Dig Site, and it needs at least level 52 Archaeology. It is tradeable, noteable, and light at 0.050 kg.
The main use for mossy peat is screening. Take it to the screening station at the Archaeology Campus with level 52 Archaeology. Each screen gives Archaeology experience, from 3 XP at level 52 up to 20 XP at level 111 and above. Screening can give useful materials like banded limestone, ivory, white oak, cashmere, soapstone, and even triskelion. There is also a rare chance to find an artefact. The Sift Soil lunar spell can screen the soil too.
Mossy peat also works in Herblore. At level 78, five mossy peat mixed with an avantoe potion (unfinished) makes an Archaeology potion (3) and gives 175 experience.
This soil is great for players training Archaeology or hunting materials without digging for hours. It has a buy limit of 5,000, so stocking up for big training sessions is easy. Grab mossy peat and turn spare soil into XP, materials, and potions.
