Description

The Bandos warshield is a tier 70 melee shield in RuneScape 3. It is part of the Bandos armour set and needs 70 Defence to wear. In the game, it drops from General Graardor and his bodyguards in the God Wars Dungeon.

This shield gives 297 armour and 35 life points. It also cuts damage from monsters by 7% and adds a prayer bonus of 1. It fills the shield slot for melee fighters, just like the Armadyl buckler does for ranged and the ward of subjugation does for magic.

The warshield has the same stats as the blessed spirit shield, but it does not need a quest to equip. Its stats are also very close to a fully charged melee dragonfire shield, and it adds a small prayer bonus on top. Unlike some stronger shields, it does not degrade, so there is no upkeep cost.

Players also call it the BWS. It can be broken down for one Bandos component. With solid armour, damage reduction, and no quest needed, the Bandos warshield is a strong pick for melee training and boss fights at level 70 Defence.
