Description
Bane platelegs are tier 75 melee leg armour in RuneScape 3. You need level 80 Defence to wear them. They are tank armour, so they help you take less damage in fights. The base platelegs give 372.6 armour, a 1,125 life points bonus, 1.5% damage reduction against monsters, and 3.9375% damage reduction in PvP.
These platelegs can be upgraded at a forge and anvil with bane bars. Each upgrade adds one tier. The best version, bane platelegs + 4, is tier 79 with 412.7 armour, 1,185 life points, and better damage reduction. Players with level 80 Smithing can make and upgrade them.
The armour degrades over 10,000 charges of combat, or 50,000 charges for the + 4 version. It can be repaired by an NPC, on an armour stand or whetstone, or reforged on an anvil with bane bars.
Bane platelegs are a members only item. They are tradeable, equipable, noteable, and can be disassembled for parts. They are a solid pick for melee players who want strong, lasting leg armour that can grow with them.
