Bane platelegs + 3 are tier 78 melee legs for RuneScape 3. You need level 80 Defence to wear them. They are tank armour, so they are made to soak up hits. They give 402.3 armour, a 1,170 life point bonus, 1.56% damage reduction against monsters, and 4.095% damage reduction against players.
These platelegs are bane platelegs that have been upgraded three times. Players with level 80 Smithing can make them at a forge and anvil using bane platelegs + 2 and 12 bane bars. The work gives 8,400 Smithing experience. With 24 more bars, they can be upgraded again to bane platelegs + 4, which is tier 79.
The platelegs degrade over 40,000 charges of combat. Once broken, they can be repaired by an NPC, on an armour stand or whetstone, or at an anvil with up to 12 bane bars. The cost drops if the item is only partly worn down.
Bane platelegs + 3 are members only and tradeable. They can also be disassembled for Invention materials like cover parts, plated parts, deflecting parts, strong components, and protective components. They are a solid pick for melee players who want tough leg armour.
