Description

Batwing is a crafting material in RuneScape 3. Bats drop it when they are killed. This includes bats, giant bats, albino bats, and warped bats. It is a tradeable item that can be noted, and it weighs 0.453 kg.

Players use batwings to craft magic gear. This includes batwing robes, the batwing shield, the batwing book, and the batwing wand. Each batwing used in crafting grants 12 Crafting experience. Crafting the gear starts at level 30 with batwing gloves. Higher pieces need more skill, up to level 38 for the batwing shield. A full set with the book or shield takes fifteen batwings and 38 Crafting, plus a needle and thread.

Batwing robes need 30 Defence to wear. The wand and book need 30 Magic. The gear is a solid choice for magic training, and free players can craft and equip the armour. Batwings can also be disassembled for Simple parts or Crafted parts, which help with Invention.

Buying batwings saves time. There is no need to hunt bats for drops. Players can skip the grind and get right to crafting gear or training Crafting.
