Black dragonhide chaps are ranged leg armour in RuneScape 3. They are a members item and part of the black dragonhide armour set. You need 60 Defence to wear them. They are tier 60 tank armour for the Ranged class.
These chaps give 249 armour, a 900 life points bonus, 1.2% damage reduction against monsters, and 3.15% damage reduction against players. This makes them a solid pick for rangers who want more defence at mid levels.
Members with 60 Crafting can make the chaps from two black dragonleathers using a needle and thread. Each pair gives 172 Crafting experience. The chaps can also be combined with a black dragonhide body, vambraces, and boots to form a full black dragonhide set at the Grand Exchange.
The chaps are tradeable, lendable, and noteable. They can also be disassembled for Invention materials such as cover parts, padded parts, tensile parts, evasive components, and protective components. The armour does not interfere with Ava's attractor, accumulator, or alerter, so rangers can keep saving their ammo while wearing it.
