Black flowers are one of the rarest flowers in RuneScape 3. They come from mithril seeds. When a player plants a mithril seed, they can pick the flowers or leave them. Black flowers appear at a rate of 2 in 1,001, so most players will not see them often. Only white flowers are as rare.

Black flowers can be worn in the weapon slot. They are a fun weapon with no combat requirements. The weapon is Tier 1 and Melee class, and it uses the Crush style with a range of 1. It has 110 accuracy, 14.9 ability damage, and no armour or prayer bonus. Players often hold them just to look good or to have fun in the Duel Arena.

Black flowers have other uses too. They can be mixed with anchovy oil to make imp repellent. They can also be disassembled for Invention. Disassembly gives 0.3 XP and can yield base parts, head parts, smooth parts, heavy components, and dextrous components.

The item is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs only 0.028 kg. It has been in the game since 15 March 2004, which makes it a classic rare flower for collectors.
