Description
The Black shield (h5) is a heraldic version of the black kiteshield in RuneScape 3. It has a special heraldic design on the front, but it works just like a normal black kiteshield. It has the same stats and the same requirements. Players need level 25 Defence to equip it.
This shield is a melee item that fits in the shield slot. It is a tier 25 item with 76.2 armour and a 2.5% PvM damage reduction. It weighs 5.443 kg.
The shield is a possible reward from easy clue scrolls in Treasure Trails. It cannot be made with the Smithing skill, and players cannot decorate it. Only members can obtain it, but non-members can trade and own it.
Players who like collecting can pair it with the black platebody (h5), black platelegs (h5) or plateskirt (h5), and black helm (h5). Together, these pieces form an easy-level set that can be stored in a treasure chest in the costume room of a player-owned house.
The shield can also be disassembled for 7.5 XP. It always gives 1 Fortunate component and has 8 materials in total.
