Black platelegs (h5) are a heraldic version of black platelegs in RuneScape 3. They are melee tank armour worn in the leg slot. You need level 25 Defence to wear them. They have the same stats as regular black platelegs, with 83.8 armour and a 375 life points bonus. They also give a 0.5% damage reduction against monsters and a 1.3125% reduction against players.
These platelegs are a possible reward from an easy reward casket in Treasure Trails. Heraldic armour cannot be made with the Smithing skill, and players cannot decorate it themselves.
The heraldic design makes this item a nice pick for players who want a fresh look at a low level. You can also store it with the black platebody (h5), black shield (h5), and black helm (h5) in a treasure chest in your player-owned house costume room. Together they count as an easy-level set.
For Invention users, disassembly gives 7.5 XP and always yields 1 Fortunate component. It can also give Cover parts, Deflecting parts, Plated parts, Strong components, and Protective components.
