Description

The Bullseye lantern (empty) is a members-only light source in RuneScape 3. It is a bullseye lantern frame fitted with a lantern lens, but it has no fuel yet. You need to add lamp oil before you can use it. Once you add oil, it becomes a bullseye lantern (oil). Lighting it requires level 49 Firemaking.

Lamp oil comes from distilling swamp tar. You can do this at the lamp oil still in the Chemist's house in Rimmington, or at the lamp stall in Dorgesh-Kaan.

Players can also make this lantern with level 49 Crafting by joining a bullseye lantern frame with a lantern lens. Another option is to add a lantern lens to an empty sapphire lantern, which gives back a sapphire too.

This item is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 1.36 kg. It can be disassembled, which mostly gives simple parts with a small chance of variable components. It is a handy pick for players who want a strong light source for dark caves and other dim places in the game.
