Description
The Bullseye lantern frame is a steel frame used to build light sources in RuneScape 3. It is the first step in making a bullseye lantern, which lights up dark areas in the game. The frame is smithed from a steel bar at an anvil using a hammer.
To finish a lantern, add a glass lens to the frame. This takes level 49 Crafting. You can also fit a cut sapphire in place of the lens. The frame with a sapphire lens makes a sapphire lantern, which is needed for the quests Tears of Guthix and While Guthix Sleeps. An emerald lens on the frame makes an emerald lantern for Lunar Diplomacy.
A finished bullseye lantern needs lamp oil to work. Lamp oil comes from distilling swamp tar at the chemist's house in Rimmington. Lighting the lantern with a tinderbox takes level 49 Firemaking.
The frame weighs 1.36 kg and is tradeable and noteable. It can also be disassembled for Simple parts or, on rare chance, Variable components. This item is a smart buy for players working on quests or exploring dark places.
