Description
The empty candle lantern is a glass lantern for the Firemaking skill in RuneScape 3. It is not finished yet. You need to put a candle inside it before it can be lit. This item is members only.
You can fill it with a white candle to make a candle lantern (white), or with a black candle to make a candle lantern (black). Once it is filled, it cannot be undone. Lighting the lantern needs a tinderbox and level 4 Firemaking. You do not get any experience for lighting it.
A candle lantern is safer than an open candle in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. An open lit candle can ignite the swamp gas there, which causes an explosion that can hit you for up to 200 life points.
The empty candle lantern is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 0.907 kg. It can also be disassembled for materials like Clear parts, Delicate parts, and Smooth parts, with a small chance of Enhancing components. Players can also make one with level 4 Crafting by using a glassblowing pipe on molten glass, which gives 19 Crafting experience.
