Description

The candle lantern (white) is a members-only light source in RuneScape 3. It is an empty candle lantern frame filled with a white candle. Once it is filled, the candle cannot be removed. To use it, light it with a tinderbox at level 4 Firemaking. This creates a lit white candle lantern that lights up dark caves and dungeons. Carrying more than one lit candle lantern makes a dungeon even brighter.

This lantern is a smart pick for the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. Unlike an open lit candle, it does not set off the swamp gas there. Be careful on the stepping stones on the way to the Tears of Guthix cavern. If you fail that Agility jump, any candle lanterns you carry will break into useless broken glass.

The candle lantern (white) is tradeable and noteable while unlit, but it cannot be traded once lit. It weighs 0.907 kg and can be disassembled for Invention parts. It is a cheap and simple light source for low-level players who need to explore dark areas without the risk that comes with an open flame.
