Description

Carapace boots are Ranged tank armour in RuneScape 3. They fit in the feet slot and need level 30 Defence to wear. They are tier 30 gear, made from a carapace. The boots came out with the Evolution of Combat update. Free players can wear them.

These boots give an armour rating of 22 and cut PvM damage by 0.6%. They work best for Ranged combat. Wearing them lowers your accuracy with melee, magic, and necromancy attacks, so keep them for Ranged fights.

Players can also make these boots. Use a needle and thread on one carapace with level 31 Crafting to get 12 Crafting experience. They are also sold at Lowe's Archery Emporium in Varrock. The boots are tradeable and can be noted.

For Invention training, the boots can be disassembled for 9 Disassembly XP. They have a 67% base junk chance and can give Cover parts, Padded parts, Tensile parts, Evasive components, and Protective components.

Carapace boots are a solid pick for low level rangers who want cheap tank gear for their feet. They weigh only 0.453 kg, so they are light to carry.
