Description

Clay is a basic material in RuneScape 3. Players can mine it from clay rocks with just level 1 Mining. It is one of the first resources new players can gather, but skilled players use it too.

Clay becomes soft clay when you add water to it. You can use a bucket of water, a jug of water, or a bowl of water. You can also use clay right at a water source, or cast the Humidify spell. Making soft clay gives 1 Crafting experience each time.

Soft clay has many uses. Players use it to make pottery and urns in Crafting. It also makes furniture in Construction and Magic tablets. These items are helpful for training skills, so clay stays in demand.

Clay rocks are found in many spots, such as the Burthorpe mine, the Draynor mine, and the Lumbridge south-east mine. If you wear a bracelet of clay while mining, you get soft clay instead of regular clay for 28 uses per bracelet.
