Description
The crushed nest is an item in RuneScape 3. It is made by grinding an empty bird's nest with a pestle and mortar. Grinding a nest gives 1 Herblore experience. Unlike a bird's nest, a crushed nest can be traded with other players.
Crushed nests matter because they are the secondary ingredient for Saradomin brews. To make the brew, add a crushed nest to a toadflax potion (unfinished). This needs level 81 Herblore. Saradomin brews are a popular potion, so crushed nests are always in demand.
Players with level 85 Magic can also use the Telekinetic Grind spell. One cast grinds 28 bird's nests at once. It gives 28 Herblore experience and 89 Magic experience, and it uses 2 astral runes and 1 law rune.
Crushed nests also drop from many monsters. These include Kree'arra, Telos the Warden, Solak, the Arch-Glacor, ice strykewyrms, and wyverns. They can be gained by pickpocketing Meilyr workers too.
