Description

Dragon bolts (e) are enchanted dragonstone-tipped runite crossbow bolts in RuneScape 3. They need level 70 Ranged to use. They have an ability damage of 672 and a maximum damage of 1008, which makes them a strong ammo choice for tier 70 ranged combat.

These bolts carry the Dragon's Breath passive effect. It has a 5% chance to trigger and hits the target a second time for 25% of the attack as dragonfire damage. The effect can trigger on auto attacks and abilities. Multi-hit abilities like Rapid Fire can trigger it on each hit, and Ricochet can trigger it on secondary targets. The trigger chance rises to 6% with the Ranged cape perk, 7% with the elite Seers' Village achievements done, and 8.4% with both.

Dragons are immune to the effect. Targets with dragonfire protection, such as an anti-dragon shield, dragonfire shield, or antifire potion, are also immune.

Players can make these bolts with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Dragonstone) spell at level 68 Magic. Each cast enchants 10 dragon bolts and uses 15 earth runes, 1 soul rune, and 1 cosmic rune. The bolts are members-only and tradeable.
