Description

Dragon bolts are rune crossbow bolts tipped with dragonstone. They are not made of dragon metal. These bolts are members-only ammo in RuneScape 3. You need level 60 Ranged to use them. They are tier 60 bolts with 576.0 ability damage and a max hit of 864.

Dragon bolts can be enchanted with the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Dragonstone) spell. This takes level 68 Magic, 15 earth runes, 1 cosmic rune, and 1 soul rune per cast. Each cast enchants 10 bolts. Enchanted dragon bolts have a 5% chance to trigger Dragon's breath. This effect hits the target a second time with dragonfire for 25% of the first hit. Dragons and targets with dragonfire protection are immune to it.

Players can also make these bolts with the Fletching skill. At level 71 Fletching, you can attach dragon bolt tips to rune bolts. Each tip gives 8.2 Fletching experience, so a batch of 10 gives 82 experience.

Dragon bolts are stackable, tradeable, and weigh nothing. They are a solid pick for ranged players who want strong bolts with a chance for extra dragonfire damage.
