Description

Edible seaweed is a food item in RuneScape 3. When you eat it, it restores 200 life points. It is a members only item. It is tradeable, can be noted, and weighs 0.25 kg.

This seaweed drops from many monsters. These include Rock Crabs, Rock Lobsters, Sea Snake Young, Sea Snake Hatchlings, and ranged Dagannoths on Waterbirth Island. It also spawns on a small island off the coast of Mos Le'Harmless, near teak and mahogany trees. Players who wear the Ardougne cloak 4 can find it in the Fishing Trawler minigame too.

Edible seaweed has more uses than just food. You can put it in a Compost Bin to make Compost. You can also turn it into Soda ash, which helps with crafting glass. It is one of the items you can pick for the Phasma phantasmas natura in the quest A Fairy Tale I - Growing Pains.

If you disassemble it, you mostly get Organic parts. There is also a smaller chance to get Crafted parts, Enhancing components, Healthy components, or Living components. This makes it handy for Invention training as well.
