Description
Light animica is a high level ore in RuneScape 3. Players mine it from light animica rocks, which need level 90 Mining. The rocks are found in a few spots around Gielinor, such as the Anachronia south-west mine, the Lletya mine, and Tumeken's remnant north of the Smoke Dungeon.
Light animica has one main job. It is used to smith elder rune bars, which are some of the best bars in the game. To make one, players combine light animica with dark animica and a rune bar at a furnace. This needs level 90 Smithing. Elder rune bars are used to make top tier smithed gear, so light animica is always in demand.
The ore can be stored in an ore box to save space. An elder rune ore box holds 100 light animica, and that limit can grow with higher Mining levels and certain achievements. Players with level 97 Divination can also transmute light animica from incandescent energy and banite ore.
Buying light animica lets players skip long hours at the rocks and jump straight into training Smithing or crafting elder rune gear.
