Description
Logs are a basic item in RuneScape 3. Players get them by cutting trees with the Woodcutting skill. Any player can cut them, since they need no Woodcutting level. Each log gives 25 Woodcutting experience, and regular trees can give more than one log before they fall.
Logs have many uses. With the Firemaking skill, they can be burned with no level needed for 40 Firemaking experience. Each fire burns for about 2 minutes. They are the only log type that works with gnomish firelighters, which make coloured fires in red, blue, green, white, or purple.
With the Fletching skill, logs can be carved into unstrung shortbows, unstrung shieldbows, or 15 arrow shafts. Logs can also be turned into planks at a sawmill for 100 coins each, or with the Plank Make spell at level 86 Magic. Members who finished the Enlightened Journey quest can use logs to travel by hot air balloon, with each log giving one charge.
Logs are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and store. They are a smart pick for players training Firemaking, Fletching, or Construction without spending much.
