Description

The maple shieldbow is a free-to-play ranged weapon in RuneScape 3. It is a sturdy bow made from maple wood. To wield it, a player needs level 30 Ranged and level 30 Defence.

This bow shoots slower than the maple shortbow but has a longer attack range of 8 spaces. Like all shieldbows, it has a built-in shield. This gives the player armour and lets them use Defence abilities like Rejuvenate. Its combat stats include 288 ability damage, 454 accuracy, 90.8 armour, and 3% PvM damage reduction.

Players with level 55 Fletching can make this bow. First they cut an unstrung maple shieldbow from maple logs, then they string it with a bowstring. The full process gives 116.5 Fletching experience per bow.

With level 45 Dungeoneering and 10,000 tokens, a player can buy a shieldbow sight and attach it to this bow. This creates a maple shieldbow (sighted), which has the stats of a level 45 weapon and is stronger than a yew shieldbow. The item is tradeable and can be stored in the hidey-hole crate in the Mausoleum off the Morytania coast.
