Description

Oak roots are a members-only item in RuneScape 3. They come from a player-grown oak tree. To get them in the game, a player must chop down the tree with an axe, then dig up the stump with a spade before it grows back. Each dug-up tree gives one set of oak roots.

Oak roots have several uses. Players can spin them into a crossbow string on a spinning wheel at level 10 Cooking, which gives 15 experience. They can also be used to brew axeman's folly at level 49 Cooking. A standard batch needs 2 buckets of water, 2 barley malt, 1 oak roots, 1 ale yeast, and beer glasses or Calquat kegs. This gives 422 experience for 8 drinks. Oak roots can also go in a Compost Bin to make supercompost, which helps crops grow better.

Oak roots are tradeable and can be noted, so they are easy to stack and store. They are very light at 0.001 kg. They can also be disassembled for Invention. They mostly give Organic parts, with small chances of Crafted parts, Enhancing components, Healthy components, and Living components.
