The RS3 Opal ring is a members-only piece of jewellery in RuneScape 3. It is made by using a silver bar, a cut opal, and a ring mould on a furnace. It only needs level 1 Crafting to make and gives 10 Crafting experience. The ring is tradeable, equipable, and noteable, and it weighs just 0.006 kg.
The opal ring has no combat stats. It gives 0 armour, 0 damage, and 0 accuracy. On its own, it is a cosmetic item. Its real value comes from enchanting. With the Lvl-1 Enchant spell, which needs level 7 Magic, the ring becomes a ring of metamorphosis. That ring gives a chance for double experience when catching butterflies barehanded.
The opal ring can also be disassembled for Invention. It gives 0.3 disassembly experience and can yield delicate parts, connector parts, smooth parts, precious components, or enhancing components. It has a base junk chance of 98.9%.
This ring is a good pick for players who want easy Crafting experience, cheap enchanting practice, or a boost for barehanded butterfly catching. It was added to the game on 12 December 2016.
