Description
The silver bar is a smelted metal bar in RuneScape 3. It is made with the Smithing skill by smelting silver ore in a furnace, which needs level 20 Smithing. Silver bars are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to buy, sell, and store.
The main use for silver bars is Crafting. Use a bar on a furnace with the right mould to make jewellery. Players can craft tiaras, holy symbols, unholy symbols, and rings, necklaces, bracelets, and amulets set with gems like opal, jade, and topaz. Cut gems must be in the inventory to make gem jewellery. Unlike gold bars, silver bars can also be made into weapons like the silver sickle, plus unfinished silver bolts, conductors, and demonic sigils.
A silver bar is also one of the materials needed to make the blessed flask. Players training Invention can disassemble silver bars for Simple parts and Crafted parts, though the junk chance is high at 78 percent.
Silver bars are a solid pick for players training Crafting, making Prayer items like holy symbols, or stocking up on materials for jewellery and other useful gear.
