Description
The portable crafter is a portable skilling station for the Crafting skill in RS3. Set it down and it gives a 10% experience boost while you craft. It also has a 10% chance to save one hide or clay per item crafted, a chance to save an unfired clay item when firing it, and a 5% chance to save a gem when cutting gems. Moonstone, onyx, and hydrix are not included in the gem save. These chances are doubled when wearing a Brooch of the Gods.
The crafter works with clay items, gems, hides, protean hides, molten glass, crystal glass, robust glass, battlestaff crafting, and starbloom equipment. It can also tan hides for the same cost as a standard tannery. It cannot spin flax or wool, and jewellery cannot be made on it.
Once deployed, the crafter lasts five minutes. Any player can add more crafters to extend the time up to 60 minutes. It has a 3x3 area of effect, so you get all the bonuses while crafting from your inventory nearby. The item is free-to-play, tradeable, stackable, weighs nothing, and is always kept on death.
