Description

Praesulic essence (melee) is an item in RuneScape 3. It is used to make masterwork armour trim. To make the trim, you combine the essence with an elder rune bar and malevolent essence. The trim is used in trimmed masterwork equipment and the Masterwork Spear of Annihilation.

This essence comes from breaking down Torva armour on a dragonkin anvil at the dragon forge. This needs level 99 Smithing and the achievement Relight My Fire. Torva armour is dropped by Nex. Each piece gives a set amount of essence. A Torva platebody gives 5, platelegs give 3, a full helm gives 2, and gloves and boots give 1 each. Degraded pieces give less essence than fully charged or augmented pieces.

This is the melee version of praesulic essence. There are also ranged and magic versions made from Pernix and Virtus armour. Buying the essence lets players skip breaking down costly Torva gear on their own.

Praesulic essence (melee) is a members only item. It is tradeable and noteable. It cannot be worn, stacked, disassembled, or alchemised. It weighs 1.814 kg.
