Description
The primal pickaxe is a level 100 pickaxe in RuneScape 3. It came to the game on 12 August 2024. You need level 100 Mining to use it. It is the best pickaxe tier in the game, so it helps you mine rocks faster and get more ore.
This pickaxe has 275 penetration. Each swing deals 50 to 150 mining damage, with an average of 100. You can store it on your tool belt, so it never takes up space in your backpack.
The pickaxe can be upgraded five times with primal bars at a forge and anvil. Each upgrade adds 1 damage to both the minimum and maximum. A primal pickaxe + 5 deals 55 to 155 damage per swing. The full upgrade chain takes 64 primal bars in total.
It can also be used as a melee weapon. It is tier 1, sits in the weapon slot, and uses the Crush style with 110 accuracy. With a hammer and a Burial Anvil, it can be turned into a primal burial pickaxe at level 100 Smithing for 44,800 Smithing experience.
