Description

The Raw potato is a basic cooking ingredient in RuneScape 3. Players use it to make baked potatoes, stews, admiral pies, and fish pies. It is one of the most common foods to start with in the Cooking skill.

Raw potatoes can be picked from potato plants. Players can also grow them in an allotment patch with three potato seeds. This only needs level 1 Farming. Each harvest gives at least three potatoes.

Raw potatoes have other uses too. Up to ten can go into an empty sack to make a sack of potatoes. A full sack can be paid to a gardener to watch over an onion patch. A full sack is also needed for the Enlightened Journey quest and for Thorgel's item list in Mourning's End Part II. Raw potatoes can be fed to starving adventurers in the Temple Trekking minigame and to Cyrisus in the Dream Mentor quest.

This item is free to play, tradeable, and noteable. It is not stackable and weighs 0.5 kg. It is always kept on death outside dangerous areas. Buying raw potatoes in bulk saves time on farming and picking.
