Description
The reinforcing plate is a key crafting item in RuneScape 3. It is a sturdy metal plate used to reinforce the oldest types of metal. Players need it to make malevolent armour, one of the best melee armour sets in the game.
To use a reinforcing plate, take it to an anvil and combine it with malevolent energy. You need at least level 91 Smithing. Each armour piece needs a different amount of plates and energy. The malevolent helm takes 1 plate and 14 malevolent energy at level 91 Smithing. The malevolent greaves take 2 plates and 28 energy at level 92. The malevolent cuirass takes 3 plates and 42 energy at level 93.
Smithing this armour also gives good experience. The helm grants 500 experience, the greaves grant 1,000, and the cuirass grants 1,500.
The reinforcing plate is a members-only item. It is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 1 kg. If you want to smith your own malevolent armour, this plate is a must-have material for every piece of the set.
