Description
The rune kiteshield + 3 is a tier 53 melee shield in RuneScape 3. It is a rune kiteshield that has been upgraded three times. You need level 50 Defence to wear it. It goes in your shield slot and gives 185.6 armour plus a 5.3% PvM damage reduction. That extra armour makes it a solid pick for melee fighters who want strong protection at this level.
This shield is not members only, and it is tradeable. It is player made. To smith one yourself, you need level 50 Smithing, 8 rune bars, and a rune kiteshield + 2 at an anvil or forge. Making it gives 1,920 Smithing experience in total. Buying the finished shield skips all that work and saves the bars.
The rune kiteshield + 3 is the top upgrade in the rune kiteshield line. It starts at tier 50 with 170 armour and grows to tier 53 with 185.6 armour at + 3. It can also be turned into a rune burial kiteshield for extra Smithing experience, or taken apart with Invention for parts like cover parts and deflecting parts.
