The rune kiteshield + 2 is a tier 52 melee shield in RuneScape 3. It is a rune kiteshield that has been upgraded twice. You need level 50 Defence to wear it. It goes in the shield slot and gives 180.2 armour with a 5.2% PvM damage reduction. That makes it a solid pick for melee players training or fighting monsters at mid levels.
The shield sits in the middle of the rune kiteshield upgrade line. The base shield is tier 50 with 170.0 armour. The + 2 version bumps that up to tier 52. With another 8 rune bars, it can be upgraded again to a rune kiteshield + 3 at tier 53.
Players with level 50 Smithing can also make this shield at a forge and anvil. It takes 4 rune bars and a rune kiteshield + 1, and it gives 960 Smithing experience. The shield can be taken apart with Invention too, giving cover parts, base parts, deflecting parts, and a small chance at strong or protective components.
At only 0.02 kg, it is light to carry. It is a simple, useful shield for any mid-level melee setup.
