Description
The Rune platebody is a tier 50 melee body armour in RuneScape 3. It needs level 50 Defence to wear, and free-to-play players can use it. It is tank armour worn in the body slot, and its stats match the rune chainbody.
This armour gives 195.5 Armour and a bonus of 750 Life Points. It also cuts damage by 1% against monsters and 3% against other players. It has no Prayer bonus and lowers Magic and Ranged accuracy, so it works best for melee fighters.
Players with level 50 Smithing can make the Rune platebody at a forge and anvil with 5 rune bars. This gives 1,200 Smithing experience. It can be upgraded to a rune platebody +1 with 5 more rune bars. One can also be earned as a reward for finishing the Dragon Slayer quest, and Animated Rune Armour drops it too.
The Rune platebody can be combined at the Grand Exchange into a Rune armour set. It can also be disassembled for parts like Cover parts, Plated parts, and Strong components, or used to make a Rune armour stand.
