Description

Sapphire bolts are mithril crossbow bolts tipped with sapphire bolt tips. They need level 40 Ranged to use. These are tier 40 bolts with 384.0 ability damage and a maximum hit of 576. They are stackable, tradeable, and weigh nothing, so you can carry a large amount with ease.

Players can make sapphire bolts with the Fletching skill. At level 56 Fletching, use a chisel on a cut sapphire to make 12 sapphire bolt tips. Attach the tips to mithril bolts to finish them. Each bolt gives 4 Fletching experience.

These bolts get better with magic. At level 7 Magic, the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Sapphire) spell enchants 10 bolts at a time. This turns them into enchanted sapphire bolts, which gain a special ability.

Sapphire bolts work well for training Ranged or stocking up on ammo. They also drop from Waterfiends, but buying a stack saves time spent grinding.
