Roast bird meat is a food item that heals 200 life points. If you cook raw bird meat without a spit, you get poorly-cooked bird meat instead, which only heals 20 life points. That makes the skewer step worth doing.

This item saves you time. Raw bird meat is a drop from Hunter birds like the Crimson Swift, Golden Warbler, and Copper Longtail. Getting your own meat and spits can be slow, so buying skewered bird meat lets you skip the hunting and start cooking right away.
