Description

Masterwork elasticated leather is a crafting material in RuneScape 3. It is used to make masterwork ranged armour, a set that includes a cowl, body, chaps, vambraces, and boots. You need 9 elasticated leather to craft a full set.

Making one leather takes level 110 Crafting. It is made by combining 1 leather, 1 masterwork thread, and 8 each of snakeskin, carapace, and dagannoth hide. Crafting one also requires the achievement It Should Have Been Called Chinskin. Each piece takes 300 seconds to finish and gives 1,250 Crafting XP in total.

Buying the leather ready made lets you skip the long crafting time and the level requirements. A full set of masterwork ranged armour takes 45 minutes of crafting from these leathers alone, so having them on hand saves real effort.

This is a members only item. It is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 1 kg. It cannot be equipped, stacked, disassembled, or alchemised. It is always kept on death. The item came to the game on 23 March 2026 with the Havenhythe continent release.
