Description
The Spicy Tomato is a members-only food item in RuneScape 3. It is a bowl of chopped tomatoes with an extra kick. Players make it by using a tomato on a bowl while holding a knife, then adding gnome spice to the chopped tomatoes. It takes level 1 Cooking to make but gives no Cooking experience.
The main use for a spicy tomato is Hunter bait. At level 53 Hunter, players can place one on a set box trap. It works as bait for chinchompas in the Piscatoris Hunter area and for all tiers of Skillchompas. Using a spicy tomato raises the chance to catch by 30 percent, so it is a smart pick for anyone training Hunter with box traps.
A spicy tomato can also be eaten. It heals 200 life points, which makes it a small food option in a pinch.
This item is rare in the game because few players take the time to make it. It is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 0.2 kg. It can also be disassembled for materials, most often Organic parts. The spicy tomato was added to the game on 21 November 2006.
