Description

Tarromin tar is a Ranged ammunition in RuneScape 3. It is the only ammo that a red salamander can fire. You need level 60 Ranged to use it. It is a tier 60 ammo with an ability damage of 576, a max hit of 864, and it uses the Bolts style.

This tar has a second job in Hunter. Players use it as bait in net traps to catch red salamanders. That makes it handy for both catching the salamander and fighting with it.

Players make tarromin tar with the Herblore skill. At level 39 Herblore, you mix one clean tarromin with 15 swamp tars. You need a pestle and mortar in your inventory to crush the herb. Each batch makes 15 tarromin tar and gives 55 Herblore XP. It is a members-only item.

Tarromin tar is tradeable and stackable, and it weighs nothing. You can carry a big pile without using up bag space. Its examine text calls it a thick, foul-smelling, tar-like substance with a red tinge. If you train Ranged with a red salamander or hunt them for Hunter XP, this is the item you need.
