Description

Timber fungus is a crafting material in RuneScape 3. It comes from the Croesus Front. Players gather it from dead Lumbridge and Varrock guards in the north-west part of the graveyard. Gathering it needs level 88 Woodcutting. Each gather gives one fungus, and the guards are always available. Its examine text says it is "Fungus that looks a lot like wood."

This item is tradeable and noteable, and it can be disassembled. It is light too, at only 0.05 kg. If you have the Always Adze relic power or the Superheat Form curse active, you can burn it for 100 Firemaking experience.

Timber fungus is used in several recipes. It makes Mushy mush and Variety mush at the Trough. It is part of Sana's fyrtorch, which also needs Magic logs, Croesus flakes, and Fungal spores at level 80 Firemaking. It goes into the Seed bag, also called the Croesus spore sack, at level 85 Firemaking. It can also be added to an Avantoe potion unfinished to make a Woodcutting potion at level 49 Herblore. Some game menus still call it "woody fungus," so do not let that name confuse you.
