Description

Topaz bolts are steel crossbow bolts tipped with topaz bolt tips in RuneScape 3. They are tier 30 Ranged ammunition and need level 30 Ranged to use. They fit in the bolt slot and have an ability damage of 288. They are tradeable, equipable, and stackable, so a full stack takes up just one inventory space.

Players can make these bolts with the Fletching skill. It takes level 48 Fletching to cut a red topaz with a chisel, which makes 12 topaz bolt tips. Attaching each tip to a steel bolt also needs level 48 Fletching and gives Fletching experience. The work is fast, taking about 1.2 seconds per 10 bolts.

Topaz bolts can also be enchanted. With level 29 Magic, the Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Red Topaz) spell enchants 10 bolts at a time. This turns them into enchanted topaz bolts, which gain a special ability.

These bolts are a solid choice for players training Ranged at lower levels. They are also useful for Fletching training or as a base for enchanted ammo. Buying them in bulk saves time spent cutting gems and attaching tips.
