Description
The unpowered orb is a members item in RuneScape 3 used to make enchanted orbs. Cast a charge orb spell at the right obelisk to turn it into an air, earth, fire, or water orb. Then attach the charged orb to a battlestaff to make an elemental battlestaff. It can also be used in Construction to make a crystal ball, a crystal of power, or an elemental sphere.
Charging an orb needs the right Magic level. Water orbs need level 56, earth orbs need level 60, fire orbs need level 63, and air orbs need level 66.
Players can also craft unpowered orbs from molten glass at Crafting level 46 with a glassblowing pipe. Each orb gives 52.5 Crafting experience. This is a cheap way to train Crafting, giving over 90,000 experience per hour with banking.
The orb is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs 0.453 kg. It can be disassembled for Clear parts, Delicate parts, Smooth parts, and rare Enhancing components. Buy unpowered orbs to skip glassblowing and get straight to charging orbs or making battlestaves.
