The water orb is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It is made by casting the Charge Water Orb spell on the water obelisk with an unpowered orb in your inventory. The spell needs level 56 Magic, 30 water runes, and 3 cosmic runes. The obelisk sits on Water Obelisk Island, which players reach through Taverley Dungeon.
The main use for a water orb is crafting. With level 54 Crafting, you can attach it to a plain battlestaff to make a water battlestaff. This gives 100 Crafting experience. The water battlestaff is a stronger version of the Staff of Water, so many players want these orbs for training or for staves to sell.
Water orbs are also the tertiary ingredient for infusing Hydra pouches in Summoning. This makes them useful for players who want to train that skill.
