Description
The watermelon is a members-only fruit in RuneScape 3. It is tradeable, stackable, and can be turned into a bank note. Players grow watermelons in allotment patches, which needs level 47 Farming. Each plant gives at least three watermelons at harvest.
Watermelons have many uses. Slice one with a knife to get three watermelon slices. They are also an ingredient in summer pies and harvest potions. Players use them to make scarecrows too.
Watermelons are a popular way to pay farmers. A farmer will watch a planted jangerberry seed for 6 watermelons. A farmer will also watch a planted pineapple seed or potato cactus seed for 10 watermelons each. This protects those plants so they do not die.
You can also put watermelons in a compost bin to make supercompost, which helps other crops grow better. Watermelons can be disassembled for Invention, and they give mostly organic parts.
Buying watermelons saves time. Growing them takes Farming levels and waiting for crops. With a stack of watermelons ready to go, players can pay farmers, bake pies, or make potions right away.
