Description

The Amethyst javelin is a strong type of Ranged ammo in Old School RuneScape. It is thrown with the light ballista or the heavy ballista. It is the second-best javelin in the game. Only the dragon javelin is stronger.

Each amethyst javelin gives a ranged attack bonus of +135. The javelins are stackable, so a full stack takes up just one inventory slot. They also weigh nothing, which helps you stay light while you fight. Like most javelins, they can be poisoned to deal extra damage over time.

Players can also make these javelins with skills. At level 84 Fletching, you can attach amethyst javelin tips to javelin shafts. This gives 202.5 experience for every 15 javelins made. The tips come from cutting amethyst with a chisel at level 87 Crafting.

Amethyst javelins are a members-only item. They are tradeable, and the Grand Exchange has a buy limit of 11,000 every 4 hours. They are a solid pick for players who want strong ballista ammo without paying dragon javelin prices.
