Description
The banana tree seed is a members only Farming seed in Old School RuneScape. You can grow it into a banana tree that gives up to 6 bananas per harvest. You need level 33 Farming to plant it. The seed is tradeable, stackable, and weighs nothing.
To grow the tree, plant the seed in a filled plant pot with a gardening trowel. Then water it with a watering can. In about 5 minutes it becomes a banana sapling. Plant the sapling in an empty fruit tree patch. A nearby gardener will watch the tree if you pay 4 baskets of apples. The baskets can be noted.
This seed is great for Farming experience. Planting the sapling gives 28 Farming experience. Checking the healthy tree gives 1,750.5 Farming experience. Each banana you pick gives 10.5 Farming experience. The tree takes 16 hours to grow. After you pick all 6 bananas, the tree slowly grows more.
Only 1 seed is needed per planting. These seeds can also come from bird nests, seed packs, Mammoths, Forestry events, and Reward Carts.
