Description
The blue dragon scale is a large shiny scale from Old School RuneScape. It is a key Herblore item. Players grind the scale with a pestle and mortar to make dragon scale dust. This dust is used to make antifire potions and weapon poison. Antifire potions protect players from dragonfire, so these scales are always in demand.
Scales can be found on the ground near blue dragons. Spawn spots include Taverley Dungeon, the Corsair Cove Dungeon in the Myths' Guild, the Isle of Souls Dungeon, and the Ruins of Tapoyauik. Brutal blue dragons in the Catacombs of Kourend also drop them as an uncommon drop. Blue dragons can drop scaly blue dragonhide too. Cutting that hide with a knife gives 50 blue dragon scales at once.
Each scale weighs only 0.01 kg, so it is easy to carry. The item is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack and cannot be worn. Buying blue dragon scales saves time for players who want to train Herblore fast. There is no need to run dungeon laps to pick them up one by one.
